Many people with tooth damage often cover their mouths when speaking or smile and laugh less due to embarrassment. If you’re tired of suffering in your professional and social life because of your teeth, book a smile makeover consultation with Glebe Dental Group to discuss our smile makeover options

Dental crowns and veneers are two of several cosmetic dentistry treatments you can choose to achieve your dream smile.

Crowns and Veneers for a Perfect Smile

Crowns and veneers can help you recreate your perfect smile. At your consultation, following a comprehensive dental exam, your dentist can recommend which treatment is best for your unique situation. You may be prescribed dental crowns to help restore a damaged tooth and dental veneers for your social six front teeth for a bright, symmetrical smile.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are an excellent option for filling gaps in your smile. Your dentist fits them over a damaged tooth. They are a replacement for misshapen, weak, or discoloured tooth enamel blending seamlessly with your natural teeth. Dental crowns restore structural integrity to your tooth, as well as improve your smile and oral health.

At Glebe Dental Group, we offer our patients several options for dental crowns. You can choose between porcelain, CEREC ceramic and Rhondium One-Visit dental crowns as part of your smile makeover

Porcelain crowns are ideal for patients with a metal allergy or those seeking a natural-looking smile. CEREC ceramic crowns are durable and scratch-resistant. We can create your CEREC ceramic crown or porcelain dental crowns in a single visit in our lab, so you won’t need to wait to achieve your smile makeover.

We are also proud to partner with Rhondium One Visit crowns. We’ll send your dental mould to Rhondium, and fit your dental crown the next day.

Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are another excellent option when designing your smile makeover. In just one or two appointments, you’ll have a thin layer of veneer bonded to your teeth, turning misshapen, gapped, crooked, or discoloured teeth into a beautiful, white smile.

You and your dentist need to determine whether porcelain or composite resin veneers are the best option for your teeth. Porcelain dental veneers are stain-resistant and durable, although you may want to reduce your intake of drinks like red wine and coffee to increase their longevity. To apply the porcelain veneers, your dentist shaves off some enamel to prepare your tooth and take an impression as a basis for the veneer.

They’ll send the mould to an off-site technician for fabrication of your customised dental veneers. At your second appointment, they bond the veneer to your tooth using dental cement and ultraviolet light.

Composite resin veneers only require one visit. Your dentist will chemically roughen the front surface of your tooth so the resin adheres. Then they’ll use a UV light to harden and cure the composite layers. Once applied, your dentist shaves and shapes the dental veneer to ensure it looks as natural as possible.
